In the East Village, Big Gay Ice Cream Shop opened in September 2011.
I was strolling through The West Village and decided I was long overdue a place like this – catchy name, ice cream, AND a unicorn wearing Dorothy of the Golden Girls on a cameo necklace. You bet your sweet ass I was going in.
Big Gay Ice Cream makes you experience the old school ice cream parlor by mixing high-quality ingredients. Many a guilty pleasure you can choose. Traditional flavors are combined with a bit of the unexpected. This is for kids at heart of all ages.
Soft serve is the name of the game here, and sprinkles are free.
